Branding - The HOT IRON

1. kind, grade, or make, as indicated by a stamp, trademark, or the like: the
best brand of coffee.
2. a mark made by burning or otherwise, to indicate kind, grade, make, ownership, etc.
Branding is defining who you are. Your "essence", your attributes - what makes you "you",
and then how you appear to others. Is what the public sees as "you" the same thing you see
when you look at yourself? Some companies spend millions, even billions, on establishing their
"brand" in the marketplace while others spend a few hundred dollars on a logo and a sign and don't
think about it again.
We have heard on any number of occasions that branding isn't important which is another
way of saying "Hey, everyone knows me and who I am so this is nonsense". The point is
that "everyone knows me" is the brand. When you get it "just right" so as the old what you see is
what you get saying holds true, then you have something that will endure.

representation of the real "you".
